Why green waste removal matters: council rules, fire risk and curb appeal

Ute loaded with green waste after a garden job

Green waste removal isn't a nice-to-have — it's the difference between a yard that's finished and a yard that's halfway done. Here's why we take everything with us, every visit.

Council rules. Sunshine Coast kerbside green-waste bins are 240L. A medium hedge trim or a back yard mow fills that in one go. If we leave the clippings, you're paying us to mow and then living with the mess for a fortnight.

Fire risk. Dry clippings piled along a fence-line or under a deck are tinder. The Coast has a summer fire season and an autumn dry spell — neither is a good time to be storing combustible material on your property.

Pest harbour. Piles of green waste are where rats, snakes and termites set up. We see it most often along side fences and behind the shed — exactly the spots people don't check until they're a problem.

Curb appeal. A neatly mown lawn next to a pile of clippings looks unfinished. Removing the waste is what makes the work look like work.

Our quote always includes green-waste removal — trailers loaded, bagged and taken the same day. You don't even have to think about it.
