Lawn mowing done properly — not just quickly.

Anyone can run a mower across a lawn. The difference is whether the cut height is right for your specific grass and the season, whether the edges are properly cleaned up, whether the clippings disappear or end up bagged on the kerb, and whether the lawn looks like it's been cared for or just "done". That last one is what we're known for in Buderim and across the Sunshine Coast.

T-Squared Services is owner-operated by Tommaso Rio and Thomas Whittaker — local, fully insured, and on the schedule we promise. Whether you've got a tidy front yard you want kept neat year-round, an investment property between tenants, or a lawn that's gotten away from you and needs catching up, we've got you covered.

What's included

Every mow. Every visit.

This is the standard scope of every T-Squared lawn mow — included in the quoted price, not a list of add-ons.

  • Lawn assessed before we start — cut height matched to the season, grass type, and current condition.
  • Even cut across the entire lawn — front, back, sides, kerbside strip.
  • Full edging along paths, driveways, fences, garden bed borders and around any structures.
  • Line-trimmer work in awkward areas the mower wheels can't reach.
  • Walkway blow-down — paths, driveways and outdoor areas left visibly clean.
  • All clippings removed from site the same day — never bagged and left on the kerb.

Seasonal timing

How often your lawn actually needs mowing.

Sunshine Coast lawns don't follow one schedule. Couch grows faster than buffalo. The October–March growing season requires more frequent visits than the cooler months. Here's the rough framework we use when we quote — we'll fine-tune it for your lawn specifically.

Summer

Weekly to fortnightly

Peak growth months (Oct–Mar). Couch and kikuyu often need weekly visits; buffalo can usually run fortnightly. Skipping a mow now leads to a 4-hour catch-up later.

Autumn

Fortnightly

Growth slows but doesn't stop. A fortnightly schedule keeps the lawn even and prevents long-grass scalping when it does get cut.

Winter

Monthly

May–Aug. Most lawns can stretch to monthly. We adjust the cut height higher in winter — a slightly longer leaf protects the grass through cooler nights.

Spring

Back to fortnightly

Aug–Sep. Growth ramps up. Returning to a fortnightly schedule before peak summer prevents the "what happened to my lawn" moment in October.

Why people pick us

Showing up matters more than promises.

Reliability is the most-asked-for thing in lawn care, and the most-broken. T-Squared was built around three habits that most local operators struggle with:

  • The schedule is the contract. If we say Tuesday fortnightly, that's Tuesday fortnightly. Weather variations are communicated, not silently dropped.
  • The price is the price. What we quote is what's on the invoice. If the lawn's grown more than expected on a one-off catch-up, we eat the difference, not pad it.
  • The lawn is left properly. Edges sharp, walkways blown, clippings gone. That's the standard, not the upgrade.

Frequently asked

Everything else worth asking before you book.

What's included in a regular lawn mow?

Every visit includes a clean even mow with cut height adjusted to the season and your grass type, full edging along paths, driveways, fences and garden borders, a complete blow-down of walkways and outdoor areas, and removal of all clippings from site. We don't bag clippings and leave them on the kerb.

How often should I have my lawn mowed on the Sunshine Coast?

Most lawns benefit from a fortnightly mow during the warmer months (Oct–Apr) and a monthly mow through the cooler months (May–Sep). Couch and kikuyu grow faster and may need weekly visits in peak summer; buffalo and zoysia tolerate slightly longer intervals. We'll recommend a schedule when we quote based on your specific lawn.

Do you mow couch, kikuyu and buffalo lawns differently?

Yes — cut height matters. Couch is cut shorter (20–35mm), kikuyu and buffalo benefit from a slightly higher cut (35–50mm), and we adjust further based on whether the lawn is in full sun, shade, or stressed by recent weather. Cutting too short can scalp the lawn and trigger weed pressure; cutting too long looks unkempt. We get it right for the lawn in front of us.

How much does lawn mowing cost in Buderim?

Pricing depends on lawn size, edging perimeter, terrain, and access. Quotes are free, no obligation, and there are no call-out fees. Most regular suburban lawn mows on the Sunshine Coast fall into a predictable range — we'll quote you exactly when we see the lawn.

Do you do one-off mows or only ongoing?

Both. Many clients start with a one-off (long-grass clean-up, between-tenants tidy, or pre-inspection mow) and switch to a regular schedule afterwards. There's no minimum commitment — book one mow or set up fortnightly visits, your call.

Do you remove the clippings or leave them on the lawn?

Clippings leave with us on the same day. Mulch-mowing is an option on request for small ongoing mows where it's appropriate (it can return nitrogen to the soil), but the default is full removal — your lawn doesn't end up under a layer of cuttings.

Do you mow steep, awkward, or hard-to-access lawns?

Yes. We carry both ride-on and self-propelled mowers, plus line trimmers for the bits the wheels can't reach. If a property has steep slopes, narrow side gates, or unusual terrain, mention it in the quote request and we'll factor it in — no surprises mid-job.

Are you insured?

Yes — fully public-liability insured. Equipment is maintained, blades are sharpened on a schedule (a sharp cut beats a torn one for lawn health), and the team works tidily.

Ready for a lawn that always looks tidy?

Same-week bookings on most jobs. Quotes are free, on-site visits are free, and we'll match the schedule to your lawn — not the other way around.
